Here is a list of climbs of moderate difficulty that can help candidates for the Jordan Mountain Guide Diploma to choose climbs that meet the requested average level.
Of course, no question of trying to do all of them – it would take time…!
But they are good reference routes in their level.
These are traditional climbs, often with rappel descents that can be complicated.
The list covers all Wadi Rum and other areas north of the Rashdyia-Diseh road, for both traditionnal “Bedouin” Routes and modern climbs.
They are all TRAD CLIMBS. It means you have to protect the pitches with your own gear. No bolts in situ, apart on some smooth slabs, and on some belays or abseil stations. But even not always…

For most of these climbs, a complete rack, with a full set of cams and most of the medium-sizes in double, is recommended. Add at least a handfull of sgl and dbl slings.
